Where is the blog?
Yes, we know there has not been a blog since early September! That has been the most asked question from many of our Cypress Creek Hunting Lodge friends.
We can only answer that by saying 2014 has been our busiest and most incredible year ever. We have had a record year of hunters and our most successful year to date.
We can safely say that more than 95% of our guests rebooked for 2015 before they left the lodge this year. Many even jumped ahead to get certain dates for 2016. We just want to thank all of our wonderful friends for all of your support and for the special friendships we have made together. We look forward to our next reunions at Cypress Creek Hunting Lodge.
I will have to admit I have been a little short on time to sit down and put together a blog until now. With the busy season we have just experienced we won’t have pictures of all the harvest this year. Some guests shot animals the evening of departure so time to skin and prepare the harvest to head home was very limited. In addition to that, we did not take many pictures of the does harvested this year. Although the guests were special, the does usually look the same!
Right after our last blog we had a very special hunt. It was our annual fall hunt for our wounded warriors with Freedom Alliance. Cypress Creek is honored each fall and now again in the spring with these fine and brave soldiers. This year the hunt was cut a little short due to some of our soldiers traveling through the Chicago airport at the time it got shut down due to a fire in the control room. This caused some of our warriors to arrive late for their first evening hunt. Although many of these warriors only had 1 day to hunt, these guys did what warriors do, they made up for lost time. They hit the woods hard and got the job done. The group of 8 soldiers harvested a good buck, a doe and a nice boar. This whole event was very special and as always ended to quick.
2014 has been the year for the traveling hunters. Cypress Creek Hunting Lodge has had the pleasure of entertaining hunters from almost every part of North America from Florida to Alaska, California to North Eastern Canada. We have also had hunters from South Africa, France, Mongolia, New Zealand, Japan, Germany and several other countries.
We were also honored to have a 16 year Senator and The Speaker of the House, Eric Roy and his wife Elizabeth from New Zealand to hunt with us.
Mr. Roy harvested a nice buck during his stay at Cypress Creek. We look forward to his return next year and followed by our trip next year to New Zealand to hunt with him.
As said once before, we won’t have all the pictures of all the harvest this year, so we will start with what we have and kinda do a summary of our season this year.
First we had a guest from PA on his 1st alligator hunt.
He missed on a much bigger gator and settled for a nice 6ft gator.
Okay, so here we go in no particular order, pictures from the rest of our hunts. From mid to late deer season.
2014 for Cypress Creek Hunting Lodge and most of our hunters has been a Great and Successful year. We thank all of our many guests for your support and especially for the friendships we share. As we enter into 2015, we are hopeful and expect an even more successful year. We hope that you can join us and our staff at Cypress Creek Hunting Lodge, as we all “Pursue the Experience.”
Thanks, and Happy New Year!
