Wounded Warriors At Cypress Creek Hunting Lodge
In early May we were privileged at Cypress Creek Hunting Lodge to be able to share our lodge, woods and good times with a special group of wounded warriors. These soldiers were from several different states and were all brought here through The Freedom Alliance, created by Colonel Oliver North. Please find time to check out The Freedom Alliance website or facebook page and do anything you can to help promote this fine organization.
First of all, we would like to give special thanks to the people that played a special role in making this event happen. Matt Lutynski , a wounded warrior and a very special person at Cypress Creek was instrumental in getting this event up and going. Matt made the initial contacts and was the driver to make this event a reality. Thank you Matt!
Next was Alicia Behm from Colorado. Alicia works directly for The Freedom Alliance and selected the warriors and put the event together. Alicia put in a lot of time and effort to help make this event a great success. Thank you Alicia for all your efforts and for doing such a great job.
Frank Denicola from NY and a Vietnam Veteran was here once again to make this very special. Frank is always here at Cypress Creek to help with all of our Wounded Warrior events. Frank is very dedicated to the cause, both with his time and financial support. As always, we thank you Frank for being the very special person that you are!
During this event we shared some great times together, shooting rifles, skeet shooting, hunting, cooking out, at the dinner table and around the campfire at night. We did have a few showers and some wind to deal with, but with this positive group of people, it was never an issue.
We look forward to our next hunt with our Wounded Warriors and The Freedom Alliance very soon. If you would be interested in helping with this type of event or donating for future events, please give Becky a call at 877-520-2245 or email us at dharrellhunts@aol.com.
Now for some photos of this special event!
