Merry Christmas From Cypress Creek Hunting Lodge
Christmas is this Saturday, which means that another great year of hunting at Cypress Creek Hunting Lodge has come and gone again. So we would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone that chose to spend their special hunting time with us and to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
And although Christmas is still a few of days away, a couple of our guests this week received early presents this year when good late-season deer movement allowed a couple of great bucks to show up in front of their stands. Our good friend Anthony from NC, down this time without his crazy brothers from Jersey, started things off when he rolled up a couple of huge does along with a very nice 198lb 8 point.
Then we had 3 generations in the field with Dr. Jim, his son Tripp and grandson Trevor joining us from Florida for their first hunt in several years. And everyone had some great sits with Tripp and Trevor seeing lots of does and small bucks before shooting a big doe. But it was Dr. Jim who shot his biggest buck in years (and our 3rd largest of the season) when he knocked down a monster 8pt with an 18 inch inside spread on their last morning. So a big congratulations to all of them! And now we are all off for the holidays until Monday when we have a couple of hunters joining us to wrap up the season through January 1st.
Again, we thank all of the special guests that have joined us over the 2010 hunting season, and we wish everyone a very Merry Christmas! See you in 2011…
