SC Deer Hunting with Heroes

Over the last weekend of September Cypress Creek Hunting Lodge had the honor of hosting our 2nd hunt with a group of wounded warriors from Freedom Alliance.  We had an awesome group of guys and they enjoyed their time in the outdoors.  Many thanks to Alicia and Pepper from Freedom Alliance for putting all the guys together for SC Deer Hunting with Heroes.

We also had a writer for the NRA Magazine join the group for the weekend.  His story should be out soon so keep checking their magazine for his article.

As always our good friend, Frank Denicola, was here to join the soldiers for a great weekend of hunting.  Frank has a huge heart and is always ready to sponsor this group.  Thank you Frank!!

Everyone arrived on Friday to begin their weekend at Cypress Creek Hunting Lodge and enjoyed some time at our range before going out for the afternoon hunt.

We were proud to have these 7 soldiers with us.  We also want to thank them and their families for all the sacrifices they have made to help keep all of us and our country safe.  None of us can image what the guys and their families go through during each deployment and throughout their careers.

After everyone settled in, had a great meal and a little last minute instructions, everyone was off to their stands for some low country deer and hog hunting.  Matt was the first one to get things started.  Matt and Frank came in a few days before the others and got a head start.  Frank hunts with us several times a year and Matt is always the lucky one in the group when he comes.  Frank took a nice hog and Matt took 3 hogs, 1 buck & 1 doe over his 4 day hunt.

Fred came with Matt and he also took home some meat with this doe.

This was our 2nd time to sponsor a group of soldiers from Freedom Alliance for a weekend hunt.  All of us at Cypress Creek Hunting Lodge want to thank you for your service and we look forward to our next hunt.
